Important: If you use an iPod with a click wheel and you see this icon, you may have the wrong software. This can happen the first time you set the iPod up on a Windows PC without installing the software first.

If this folder appears on your iPod it also may need resetting or restoring.

If these steps have not resolved the problem the iPod needs servicing. Please bring it in to one of our stores.

Battery with exclamation mark

This icon only appears when the battery needs to be charged. Connect the iPod to the power adapter or computer. If you have tried recharging and the icon stays, please see below for some reasons why.

• Low powered USB port (keyboard and other USB hubs will not charge iPods).

• When a machine is sleeping it will not charge. It needs to be rest first.

• If your iPod is locked up it will not charge. It needs to be rest first.

• Faulty cable. Please make sure you are using the cable that came with the iPod. Some third party adapters will not work.

• Try another good known cable.

• Faulty port on the machine. try another port.
