Education Account Manager

  • Minimum 3 Years selling experience within an Education focussed IT Dealer/VAR
  • Technically competent providing IT solutions within education market
  • A passion for the Apple platform and its related products with the ability to communicate and convert that to a sale.

Ideal skills and pre-requisites

  • Understanding of the national curriculum/current developments within the education market ( ie BSF/specialist diplomas/14-19s )
  • Knowledge of the procurement process and education hierarchy (ability to adapt approach and deal with educators, bursars and IT staff)
  • Knowledge of the education calendar and buying cycles together with competence of specialist education pricing models and vendor specific rebate structures
  • Understanding of the psychology of selling to education (facilitator over salesman)
  • Ability to understand the pains of educators and what they need to achieve (and how to identify with them)
  • Ability on how to present a solution provider such as Square as a preferred supplier to the education market.
  • Understanding of education specific jargon and procurement processes.
